Kuiper Belt Presentation

Transcript: The circumference is 314 AU or 29,202,066,863 miles, while our Earth's is 0.00026787998 AU or 24,901 miles. Even though it is vastly spread out, the entire Kuiper Belt is estimated to only have a mass equivalent to 1/13 of earth. Even though we have no solid scientific evidence the most popular theory of the composition of asteroids in the Kuiper belt is shown here. On average any object in the Kuiper belt can take up to 200 years to complete a solar orbit, but the longest orbit takes 11,400 years! The Kuiper Belt is just beyond Neptune's orbit Thank you! Composition Distance Location Pluto Eris Haumea Makemake Ceres https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuiper_belt The End! Bibliography From Earth you can't see the Kuiper belt, due to the density of our atmosphere and how far away it is from the sun . Transcript: More About Child Restraints Illinois law requires all drivers and passengers (front and back seat) age 8 and older to wear safety belts even if the vehicle is equipped with air bags. Passengers under age 8 must be secured in an appropriate child restraint. Seat Belts are required by the law to reduce crashes and deaths, it can be possible to get a ticket for not having a seat belt. Air bags are sometimes bad because it can hit you with enough force to break your nose or anything near it by the pressure it released. It could be dangerous when children aren't using a safety belt and a accident can happen so they made seats for children but mostly for babies so they can be safe like a normal seat belt would. A situation that can be dangerous is that they can be stuck in the seat because there belt will be attached to the seat belt on the backseat. Another problem is when the driver stops to fast, the seats will make the babies or children feel pain by it and could cause the child to injured because their fragile. Air Bags GOAL! Air bags work by using a crash sensor when it feels to much pressure it goes to the inflator and the air bag opens up and protects you from the damage of the crash. Air bags have an on/off key and if it’s off then your gonna be injured by the air bag not doing its job. Seat Belt Presentation Seat Belt Law and Reasoning Out of the 90% of drivers and passengers their is 65% that die by not wearing the seat belts but the other 25% are either injured or safe because the seat belts pull them back from the damage done. Transcript: Get Waisted The Self Tightening Belt What is it? What is this for? Component 2 For the busy-ness of everyday life, some people don't have time to put on a belt. They can show up to work in a rush and become embarassed with an undone belt. Our invention solves that. Functionality It's like magic. The belt has pressure sensors within the material that knows exactly how far to tighten the belt to. The user must put the belt on themselves one time and adjust it to their desired length, and the belt will remember how this pattern. Users place pressure on the belts logo for 3 seconds and the belt will tighten to their recorded measure, and do the opposite to release. Our belt gently travels through belt loops on its own and offers full How does it work? Why do we need a Patent? Patent A patent is used to give someone the right to create their unique product for 17 years. This prevents someone from stealing/reproducing their idea without giving the creator credit, and possibly profitting off of someone elses ideas. It's important to keep my own ideas safe. Patent Case https://ruwix.com/the-rubiks-cube/rubiks-cube-patent-intellectual-property/ This case describes the 'Ideal Toy Corporation' attempting to emulate the rubiks cube with a 2x2x2 knockoff. At the time, Larry D Nickols worked for the Rubiks cube company, and owned a patent for this product. He was then able to sue Ideal Toy Corporation, and the court ruled that they infringed on his copyright and had to stop selling their product. Patent Case
